Über mich

Geboren 1979 und aufgewachsen in Schleswig-Holstein 

Nach mehreren Praktika in verschiedenen Bereichen der Filmproduktion folgte eine Ausbildung beim Atlantik Filmkopierwerk Hamburg zur “Geprüften Bild- und Tonassistentin”. 

Mit einem Studium im Bereich Filmmontage an der Hochschule für Film und Fernsehen “Konrad Wolf” in Babelsberg (inzwischen Filmuniversität Babelsberg) fokussierte ich mich auf die Filmmontage und schloss das Studium 2010 mit der Arbeit an dem Spielfilm „Vergiss dein Ende“ (Regie & Co-Montage: Andreas Kannengießer) ab. Dieser wurde international auf Festivals gezeigt, gewann zahlreiche Preise, wie die Auszeichnung als “Bester Film” beim Studio Hamburg Nachwuchsfilmpreis, und erhielt eine Kinoauswertung.

Schnittassistenzen und Co-Editing Einsätze bei geschätzten KollegInnen wie Catrin Vogt, Anne Fabini und Benjamin Ikes rundeten meine beruflichen Erfahrungen ab.

Seitdem arbeite ich freiberuflich als Editorin in Berlin und Norddeutschland. Mein Herz schlägt gleichermaßen für Dokumentar- und Spielfilme sowie serielles Erzählen. Doch auch für andere Formate bin ich offen.

Seit 2010 bin ich Mitglied im Bundesverband Filmschnitt (BFS).

About me

Born in 1979 and raised in Germany’s North, in Schleswig-Holstein

Several traineeships in different areas of film production and an apprenticeship in a film laboratory, which had me explore the medium up to the film grain, were my stepping stones to the editing room.

In 2004, I took up studies of film editing at Potsdam Film School (Hochschule für Film und Fernsehen Potsdam Babelsberg, now Filmuniversität Babelsberg), graduating with my work on the feature film „Vergiss dein Ende“ (directed and co-edited by Andreas Kannengießer) that was screened at numerous film festivals worldwide, had a theatrical release and was awarded, among other, as „Best Film“ at Studio Hamburg’s Young Talent Award.

Ever since, I have been working as a freelance film editor in Berlin and the north of Germany. My heart beats for full-length feature and documentary films and serial narration. But I am open to other formats, as well.

I particularly enjoy working on films that cast a look behind the scenes, that tell their story with a sense of humor, that broaden the horizon - and of course entertain their audience.


I am a member of the German Film Editors Association (BFS) since 2010.
